Excerpt from the June, 2014 GHS '70 Newsletter
Two years ago I wrote the first of twenty-four
monthly GHS ’70 Newsletters,
and a
good many other articles shared here with GHS Alumni at large,
and yet more articles shared with the Facebook
groups
Garrett Memories and News and You
have Lived in Garrett.
Or so it seemed initially...
Though in its course I came to understand this
work as just one very long love letter...
Not to individuals, but to a communal body...
And yet the community became evermore
differentiated and personal, month by month...
Not just for me, but for many others,
and I hope for You.
This writing ranks with some of the most
rewarding and meaningful work I have ever done, but everything has its season,
and it is time for me to move on.
Thank you for having given me so much of your
attention for so long.
